Chara Recreation Centre

Chara Recreation Centre offers accommodation in small wooden houses with two-, three-, or four-person rooms.
In each room there is a bed, a table, a chair, a mirror, and a bedside table. Wash-stand, WC and shower cabins are located on the territory of the recreation centre. Besides, you can stay in a spacious detached cottage with a terrace for 2-3 people, a summer shower and a dry closet. There is also a furnace in each cottage for heating when it’s cold. The size of rooms is from 26 m2 to 36 m2 (280-387 ft2).

There is a special guard to ensure security on the centre territory twenty four hours a day. Those who come back here every year call themselves ‘charmed with Chara’. This marvelous place attracts them in any season.

A legend holds that the place, where the centre is located, has a so-called energetic spiral which enforces good traits of character of a person.
The main advantage of this tourist centre on the Baikal is that it is situated near one of the warmest bays. Bathing season finishes here later than usually, and the number of sunny days is much bigger due to unique advection of air masses. Incredibly beautiful nature and the uniqueness of landscape is fascinating.
