Adventure with BaikalNature is not only a discovery of beautiful landscape or an active tour we offer. First of all it is an intimate knowledge of our region, its culture and its history that we endeavour to share with our travellers. The art of combining visits to the most beautiful places of Lake Baikal with meeting local residents, private concerts of folk groups, ethnographic excursions and particular acquaintances is the very essence of our trips.

Since 2001 BaikalNature team has been making discover the beauty of Lake Baikal so that wild places become absolutely safe and accessible to all our travellers. We assure maximum possible comfort in the places away from civilization with almost undeveloped tourist infrastructure. We always travel in small groups of 4 to 10 people in order to afford great pleasure of travelling to you, but especially to keep the nature of our region untouched for generations to come...

It would be impossible to come to that quality level of services provided by BaikalNature if from the very beginning we didn’t work on the following principles: availability, quality service, safety.

Availability - a root principle in tourism. We follow it at all stages of organization of a trip. You will appreciate the speed of our response which is almost instant from the very first contact. In Irkutsk our office is open to you 7 days a week from 9 am to 7 pm local time. We organize our work in such a way that during the trip one of our team-mates is always in touch and is ready to solve any problem. In BaikalNature you will never hear "Sorry, we are not available at the moment, please call later…" In our view availability also means that of guide: your guide will be at your 100% disposal (except travelling "in freedom"), from your arrival to your departure. Emergency telephone number will also be given to you to ensure your contact with the leadership at any moment of journey.

All our tours are based on the principle of quality service even in minute particulars of organization. Nothing is neglected to do. As soon as you arrive, we will give you a road-book as well as a set of articles concerning the itinerary. Before his/her departure every BaikalNature client will get a nice gift in acknowledgement of choosing our services. If there is something that is worth visiting it will necessarily be on our list. We will not deceive our travellers telling them that it is uninteresting or something like that if it’s difficult to organize… If there is a fascinating activity in our region, we will be able to offer it, and if it is safe and aesthetical, it has already been included in our programmes!

To provide safety of a traveller is the most important task of our team. Of course, we have an intimate knowledge of the region and a wide experience. But to provide safety it is not enough. That is why we offer BaikalNature insurance. Every traveller leaving the city for more than two days takes out this insurance automatically (learn more about our insurance). The contract includes any cost of rescue or repatriation that is not usually covered by an ordinary insurance (for ex. your compulsory insurance for obtaining a visa). The technical part of the implementation of the principle of safety is to ensure the contact of the group with our office in Irkutsk as well as to pay close attention to the perfect technical condition of transport, camping equipment, etc. Adventure shouldn’t be followed by misadventures…
