BAIKALNATURE is not a commercial concept, in fact. It is a story of childish dreams, attempts, missteps and delightful discoveries. A tent, a bonfire, a team of schoolchildren of about 13 years, an adult guide and happiness to find oneself away from the city and the school spending a week in Sayans or Khamar - Daban ... Leaving Irkutsk to forget civilization in winter taiga, it was magic! That is how we spent our holidays. In summer we enjoyed hiking along-shore. We left the mountains, our favorite stress cure, for school and then we had a rest in the Sandy Bay in the sun.
Pavel and Irina were classmates… Being members of school tourist club they continued to hike together while studying at the Universities. Peaks were higher, trekking was more challenging… At the same time Pavel met Ludmila. Both learnt French and English at Irkutsk State Linguistic University. Then they started guiding foreign tourists getting new acquaintances and friends. It was a time of dreams and "major plans". We wanted to work in tourism and we realized our vocation, but for the moment that was only a desire. Did we think about real business plans and marketing at that time? We began to use the word "company" years later and it gave us the opportunity to legitimize our activity and strengthen our passion. The name that we chose was to be clear and not to deform our ideas ... In 2007 the team was formed after joining of Alexey, friend of the club. His computer skills, his knowledge of English and great experience have only strengthened BAIKALNATURE team.
If today we spend a lot of time at the office, it is to prepare your trips better and, that is the most important, to enjoy another leaving it... We are still guides in spirit !
