How can I find an appropriate hotel by its location?

You can search for a hotel not only through our standard search form, but also through a map or the links on the «Nearest Hotels» menu, located on hotels and sights pages. You can also check hotels located near a particular landmark. To do that, open the page of the landmark you are interested in and you will see the list of hotels on the menu in the right side of the page.

How can I check the rooms availability and the cost of accommodation in a certain hotel?

There is a list of rooms available for booking in the lower part of the page of each hotel. The description of each room contains information on its cost and availability. If the hotel you choose does not operate on the needed dates (for example, some hotels and resorts are open only in the summer), the list of its rooms is not displayed..

How can I find a hotel near a certain landmark?

Just open the page of the landmark you are interested in and you’ll see a list of the hotels nearby on the «Nearby accommodations» menu. Please note, that the distances specified in this menu are calculated along the straight line, while the real length of the way from a landmark to a hotel may differ. Also, by clicking the «See map» button you can see all the hotels in the area surrounding this landmark.

How can I find out the location of a hotel?

You will find the exact address of a hotel in the upper part of the page devoted to this hotel – right below its name. Description always contains a «Location» section that provides corresponding information. In addition, you can always get more specific information on the location of a hotel by clicking the «See map» button. Please, note that some hotels or resorts do not have an exact address. In this case we try to provide as thorough description of its location, as possible.

How can I get the phone number or the e-mail address of a hotel?

After the booking process is completed, we send you a voucher with the phone number and the e-mail of the hotel indicated.

2. Prices

Does BaikalNature charge for booking service?

No! The BaikalNature booking service is completely free. BaikalNature offers the original hotel prices without extra charges. In some cases BaikalNature even sets prices lower than official ones, which allows you to save on your accommodation. It is possible due to exclusive agreements between BaikalNature and some hotels.

How does BaikalNature make a profit if it doesn't charge for reservations?

BaikalNature cooperates with its partners on the grounds of agency contracts that determine commission fees. BaikalNature transfers the payments received from its clients to the hotels with the deduction of its commission fee. Thus, BaikalNature ensures an absolute transparency of prices allowing you to book hotels by original hotel prices with ease and convenience without leaving home!

Is the room rate per person or per night?

All the prices on the BaikalNature web-site are per room. Only in some rare cases the price can be per person, for example, in some resorts or hostels. If such a case, it will appear in the room’s title, for example, «Bed in triple room». It’s important to know that if you book a bed in such a room, you will probably have to share your room with someone else (except if you haven’t booked all the beds in the room).

Are meals included in the accommodation price?

The type of board is indicated in the description of every room. For example, «breakfast included», «bed only», «full board», etc. In the most of the hotels breakfast is included in the accommodation cost. Many resorts include half board (three meals a day) or full board (two meals a day) in the accommodation cost. Hostels and apartments usually don’t provide any meals. If you have any doubts, just contact us and we will be glad to advise you and help you select the accommodation that best fits you.

Are there any taxes included in the price?

Yes. All the taxes and fees are included in the price. The price you see on our web-site is final.

How much does it cost to stay with children?

It depends on whether your children use extra beds or not. Usually if they don’t, you are not charged additionally. However, we recommend that you check out the children accommodation policies and availability of extra beds on the page of a hotel. There you will find the exact information on the age limits as well as the prices for additional beds. To order extra beds while booking, please, state your enquiry specifying the number of children and their age in the «Comments» field. To make sure that your order is processed and to find out the total price of accommodation, please, contact the hotel’s administration directly using the contact information stated in your booking confirmation (voucher). To receive the precise information on the availability and the cost of services before booking, please, contact our booking department. Please, note that additional services are not included in the cost of a booked room and are paid for in the hotel.

How can I pay for the meals for my child if he/she doesn’t occupy an extra bed?

Additional services, particularly additional breakfasts, are paid for directly in the hotel. To calculate the precise price, please, contact the hotel administration. Their contact information will appear in your booking confirmation (voucher). To receive the exact information on the availability and the cost of the services before booking, please, contact our booking department.

3. Booking

How can I reserve my room through BaikalNature.com?

It is very simple! Enter the search criteria into the search form (Location, Dates, Type, Prices, etc.) and click the «Search» button. Choose a suitable hotel in the list on the next page. On the hotel’s page choose the number of rooms you want to book and click «Continue». Follow the system's directions. If you see the «On request» status of availability of a room, it means that our employee will confirm it within 1-3 hours during operating time.

Can I book a hotel by phone?

Yes. Just call us and we will do our best to book the hotel of your choice.

Is there any difference in price between phone and online booking?

No. All the prices you see on our web-site are actual for phone booking as well. However, if a hotel is available for online reservation, the whole process of booking will take you less time and you’ll save on a phone call. Please, note that we don’t take credit cards when you book by the phone, we issue invoice for a bank transfer instead.

Can I book a room for another person?

Yes, of course! You can easily book a room for your friend, relative, co-worker, or client through BaikalNature.com. In the process of booking, you can specify the name of the person you are booking the room for. Voucher (reservation confirmation) will be issued in this name.

Why is room availability in some hotels marked with «on request» sign?

Not every hotel can allocate us rooms for online booking. Thus, BaikalNature cannot assume the responsibility to accept booking without confirming the availability of the rooms beforehand. To avoid the risk of overbooking, we always contact the hotels. The availability of such rooms is marked by «On request» sign on our web-site. Confirmation of the booking of such a room usually takes not more than 1-3 hours during the workday.

Can I book more than one room at the same time?

Yes. Depending on the availability you can book from one to five rooms at the same time. If you want to book more than five rooms, you need to contact our booking office and register a group booking.

Can I book a room for several hours only, for example, for a daytime?

Yes, but you will need to make a special order. To do so, please, contact our booking office, specify the name of the hotel, the category of the room, and the hours you want to spend in the hotel and we will do our best to fulfill your order. Unfortunately, this service is unavailable through BaikalNature.com.

Can I express any special wishes for accommodation, meals, or services while booking online?

Yes, you can. Simply specify your wishes in the «Comments» field when going through the process of reservation on our web-site. The hotel’s personnel will do their utmost to meet your request. After completing the reservation process, please, address the hotel to confirm / specify the fulfillment of your request.

4. Confirming a Booking

When do I know that my booking is confirmed?

Voucher issued by the system is a confirmation of your booking. The voucher is issued immediately after the system receives successful payment confirmation. One copy of the voucher is kept on your account on BaikalNature.com and another one is sent to your e-mail. If, for some reason, you haven’t received your voucher through the e-mail, enter your personal account and print the voucher.

How can I be sure that my booking is processed and the hotel does receive the reservation?

You can be absolutely sure. The whole process of booking is based upon the contract relations between BaikalNature LLC and hotels which implies mutual legal liability of the parties. The hotel of your choice receives the confirmation of your reservation at the same time as you do.

What is voucher and what do I need it for?

Voucher is an electronic document that confirms your booking. It contains all the details of your order and the contact information of the hotel. Each voucher has a unique number that you will need to check-in. Don’t forget to print your voucher and take it with you!

I haven’t received booking confirmation on my e-mail. Why?

The confirmation letter could have been marked as spam. Please, check your “Spam” folder and adjust your spam-filter settings to receive e-mails from no-reply@baikalnature.com. If you haven’t found the confirmation letter in the «Spam» folder, you can still access your voucher on your personal account on BaikalNature.com. Just follow the «Print Documents» link to print the voucher.

5. Cancelling a Booking

How can I cancel or amend my reservation?

BaikalNature.com system allows cancellation any time. To do so, you should enter your account on our web-site, choose the reservation you want to cancel, and click «Cancel reservation». Please, consider that each hotel has its own cancellation policy. In order to amend your booking, you need to contact our booking department and inform our clerk about the amendments you would like to make.

What is the deadline for penalty-free cancellation?

Every hotel sets up its own cancellation policies that are stipulated in the contracts with BaikalNature LLC. In most cases, if you make a cancellation in advance, the whole payment will be refunded to you. Depending on how late you cancel, you might be charged a cancellation fee in the form of some percent retention from your payment. You can read the policy of your specific hotel on the hotel information page.

How is the payment refunded if I cancel my booking?

If you cancel your booking, BaikalNature refunds the money to the credit card that was used to make the payment. The money is returned within 7-30 days since the cancellation of your booking. The amount of the refund depends on the cancellation policies established by each hotel. If the payment has been effected by some other method, e.g. through the bank transfer or in cash, our employee will contact you to help you choose the most convenient way to refund your payment.

How can I make sure that my booking is cancelled?

To be sure that your booking has been successfully cancelled, you just need to enter your account on our web-site and find this booking. If it is cancelled, it will have the «Cancelled» status. Also, at the moment of cancellation of your booking BaikalNature system will send you an e-mail notification of cancellation.

The cancellation policies of the hotel you choose appear in the bottom of the hotel’s information page.

6. Payment

Why is it necessary to pay the whole cost upon booking but not upon check-in?

Unlike some other booking systems, BaikalNature never shares your credit card information with the third parties. Your confidential information is not exposed out of our processing centre. When you book with BaikalNature, neither our company, nor the hotel has an access to your credit card details.  That’s why BaikalNature draws the total cost of your order from your credit card upon booking to guarantee its fulfillment. We consider it unsecure to transmit your confidential information to every hotel as we cannot be absolutely sure in the honesty of the hotel’s personnel. If you are using another method of payment, e.g. bank transfer or cash, you are also required to pay the whole cost of your order.

Why booking of some hotels demands paying a deposit and not the whole cost of order?

When booking some small hotels or guest houses, or hostels, a 10-15% deposit would be sufficient. The remaining sum can be paid when checking in. In most cases these hotels do not accept credit cards and you would need to have cash at the time of check in. Please note that if you cancel the booking, this deposit will not be refunded.

I don't have a credit card. Are there any other ways to pay for booking?

You can pay for your booking with a bank transfer or in cash. For the latter, come to the Irkutsk office of BaikalNature: 119А Dekabrskikh Sobytiy Str., office 13.

Is it safe enough to pay with my credit card for the BaikalNature services?

BaikalNature Company pays special attention to the safety of online payments and the confidentiality of the personal data of its clients. That’s why we have chosen the International operator of web-payments ChronoPay as our partner for internet payments processing. When you start payment procedure, you will be redirected to the secure ChronoPay server to enter the confidential information of your credit card and effect payment. The server uses SSL encryption, which ensures the safety of transferred information. After the transaction is complete, you will be redirected to BaikalNature.com.

How would this transaction appear on my credit card bill?

All payments made on BaikalNature.com will appear on the credit card statement as «Booking Services» paid to «www.BaikalNature.com»

Where and how should I pay for additional services?

All the additional services, such as extra beds, Internet access, etc., are paid for directly in the hotel. On BaikalNature.com you pay only for the room reservation.

7. Miscellaneous

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

To reset your password, open the log in page and click the «Click here if you have lost your password» link. The system will offer you to enter the e-mail that you’ve used for registration and will send you your new password.

How can I find out if extra beds or children cots are available in a room?

In the bottom of the hotel’s page you will find the information on the access to children / extra beds in the rooms.

I am not receiving automatic notifications from BaikalNature.com. Why?

Most likely the messages go to the «Spam» folder. Please, adjust your spam-filter settings to receive e-mail from no-reply@baikalnature.com. Also, make sure that you are checking the same email as you have used for registration on BaikalNature.com.

Will my booking be cancelled if I arrive at the hotel ‘too late’?

No. Unlike some other booking systems that might regard you being late as a «no show», BaikalNature guarantees reservations. By the time you arrive at the hotel, your booking will be marked with a «Paid» status, which guarantees that your room is kept for you. However, if you know you’ll be late, please, be considerate towards the hotel’s personnel and warn them about the expected time of your arrival. To do that, just state it in the «Comments» field when you are booking.

Is my information used confidentially?

Your personal information that you report about yourself when using the BaikalNature services is confidential and is not to be disclosed to the third parties. Also, we will never use your email for spam or obtrusive advertizing. To find out more, please, read our «Privacy policy».
