The book titled “The site of snub-nosed. Pioneers about themselves” was first published in 1934. The book was written by a united group of the Irkutsk pioneers from school №6 where they were telling about themselves. The leader and the adviser of “The site of snub-nosed” was poet Ivan Molchanov-Sibirsky. This book was a great success. The authors were awarded by a trip to Moscow as a prize. They attended the 1st congress of writers where Maxim Gorky presided. The initiative of the Irkutsk pioneers became an exemplar for all pioneers of the country. In 1984 the authorities of Irkutsk celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first book of pioneers by putting up the bust of Maxim Gorky.
