The Mausoleum situated in Red Square by the Kremlin Wall, is the mausoleum that serves as the current resting place of Vladimir Lenin. The first tomb out of wood has been built by January 27 1924, the day of Lenin's funeral. The second temporary wooden tomb was made in spring 1924. In 1929-1930 they built the third and the current variant of mausoleum of reinforced concrete with brick walls, revetted with granite and decorated with marble, porphyry and labradorite. Inside the mausoleum there is an entrance hall and a mortuary room of 1000 m² (10760 ft²) where there is the glass sarcophagus containing the embalmed Lenin's body.
