Tour Overview

The Trans-Siberian Railway is a legend, but it is often considered to be inaccessible for small sums of money. This tour offers you to explore the Trans-Siberian without guides, on 3rd class, to plunge into the Russian culture. You will travel in an authentic way, away from usual tourist standards. Thanks to the itinerary and our suggestions for sightseeing, you will enjoy all the must-see attractions during your tour that takes you from Moscow to Vladivostok, through Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Lake Baikal and Ulan-Ude.

You will discover the treasures of Russian and Soviet architecture, diverse and varied religions (Orthodoxy, Islam, Buddhism and others), have unforgettable encounters.

On this tour, you will admire the Ural mountains, steppes and forests of Siberia, majestic Lake Baikal and you will finish your journey on the Pacific Ocean shore, the other side of the world. We will help you with the reservations and accommodation, and of course, remain at your disposal for tips and new ideas.

  • Day 1
    Arrival in Moscow. Transfer to the homestay. Free time.
  • Day 2
    Free day in Moscow. Transfer to the station. Departure to Nizhni Novgorod by train at 16.20, arrival to 21:59, train 120. Transfer to the accommodation. Suggestions: Visit the Red Square, the St. Basil's Cathedral and the Lenin Mausoleum
  • Day 3
    Breakfast and free time. Transfer to the station. Night Train 041 to Kazan, departure at 9:15 p.m. Suggestions: visit the Kremlin of Nizhni Novgorod, the Gorky Museum and the Sakharov Museum.
  • Day 4
    Arrival in Kazan at 6:10, free time. Night train to Ekaterinburg, departure at 7:55 p.m. Suggestions: Visit the Kremlin in Kazan, a World Heritage of UNESCO, the Annunciation Cathedral, the Kul Sharif Mosque and the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan.
  • Day 5
    Arrival in Ekaterinburg at 2:00 p.m. Transfer to the accommodation. Suggestions: Walk downtown, visit the Romanov Murder Site.
  • Day 6
    Free day and transfer to the station, boarding the Trans-Siberian train to Irkutsk at 01:30 a.m. Suggestions: Excursion to the border between Europe and Asia along the Ural Mountains.
  • Day 7
    Day on the train, a good place for new meetings. The train makes a lot of stops for several tens of minutes, so you can go down to the platform and breath fresh air, buy souvenirs, etc.

  • Day 9
    Arrival in Irkutsk at 6:14 a.m., transfer to Listvyanka on the shores of Lake Baikal and accommodation in the hostel. Suggestions: Visit the Museum of the Baikal, climb Cherskiy rock (30 minutes walk or lift), admire the panoramic views over the lake and the Angara. Discover the village, the old wooden church, the port and taste smoked omul (endemic fish of the lake).
  • Day 10
    Free day in Listvyanka. Transfer to Irkutsk, accommodation in private houses according to your choice. Suggestions: Tour through the city. Discovery of old wooden houses, old churches, the Museum of Decembrists, the Central Market.
  • Day 11
    Transfer to the station in the morning. Train departure to Ulan-Ude. This is perhaps the most beautiful part of the Trans-Siberian Railway because it is situated on the Baikal. Arrival to the town in the afternoon. Transfer to the homestay. Suggestions: Excursion to the city center: the central square with its head of Lenin, the Orthodox Cathedral, the Old Arbat.
  • Day 12
    Three days in Ulan-Ude. Suggestions: Visit Ivolginski Datsan, a complex of Buddhist temples, located outside the city in the steppe. It's an extraordinary center of Buddhism in Russia. Visit the outdoor Ethnographic museum and discover the Buryat, Evenk, Russian and Cossack's architecture and lifestyle.
  • Day 13
    Free morning. Transfer to the station and departure to Vladivostok by Trans-Siberian train at 2:00 p.m.
  • Day 14

  • Day 15
