Svyatoy Nos Peninsula is formed by two largest gulfs of Lake Baikal: Chivyrkuyskiy and Barguzinskiy Gulfs. Chivyrkuyskiy Gulf is 26 km long and 6 to 12 km wide. Its shoreline is covered with thick forest and is remarkable for many bays and picturesque capes. Water depth in the gulf does not exceed 10 metres, that is why in summer the water is relatively warm: 19 to 23°C. Some parts of the gulf are full of fish.

Barguzinskiy Gulf is the largest gulf of the lake: its surface exceeds 700 km2. It is known for abundance of fish.

So, this trip will allow you to discover two most beautiful and largest gulfs of Lake Baikal - Chivyrkuyskiy and Barguzinskiy Gulfs. White sandy beaches, 7 islands, hot springs make this trip unforgettable.

Day 1 Transfer to the bus station of Ulan-Ude at about 9 a.m. Departure to Ust-Barguzin by bus (240 km). We will cross taiga and reach the Baikal lakeside, then our way will be along-shore (and sometimes it is only a track, not road...). Arrival to the village. Homestay accommodation, lunch.Discovery of village, walk along the shore. Dinner with locals. In the evening banya (Russian sauna).

Day 3 Early in the morning after the breakfast return to Ulan-Ude. Arrival in the city at about 2 p.m., transfer to the hotel or to the station. End of the programme.

Day 2 All the day excursion to the Baikal. Early in the morning we will go by offroadster to the hamlet of Monakhovo along the strip of sand which separates two gulfs. On the way - discovery of Barguzinskiy Gulf and Svyatoy Nos Peninsula. Boarding a fishing boat, large tour to the Chivyrkuyskiy Gulf. Visit to Zmeynaya Bay (“bay of snakes”) and its hot springs, bathe. Lunch in the open air - you will appreciate local food, an endemic fish - fresh omul. Return to Ust-Barguzin in the evening, overnight at homestay, opportunity to take banya.
