This ascent is aimed at making you discover an incredible 360 degree panorama of the most beautiful places of Lake Baikal: you will see Chivyrkuyskiy and Barguzinskiy Gulfs and their islands, the Ushkany archipelago and Olkhon Island. Moreover you will discover the lake in all its size because you will be at the highest peak of the lakeside.

Svyatoy Nos Peninsula is the most important of the Baikal. It is 26 km long and 6 to 12 km wide. Its highest peak is 1877 m. The peninsula forms part of Zabaikalskiy National Park. Numerous population of brown bears lives on Svyatoy Nos Peninsula, there are no less than 80 species...

Day 1 Transfer to the bus station of Ulan-Ude at about 9 a.m. Departure to Ust-Barguzin by bus (240 km). We will cross taiga and reach the Baikal lakeside, then our way will be along-shore (and sometimes it is only a track, not road...). Arrival to the village. Homestay accommodation, lunch.Discovery of village, walk along the shore. Dinner with locals. In the evening banya (Russian sauna).

Day 3 After the breakfast return to Ulan-Ude early in the morning. Arrival to the centre of the city at about 2 p.m., transfer to the hotel or to the station. End of the programme.

Day 2 Morning departure to the peninsula by offroadster. We will pass by the sandy band which makes of this large island a peninsula and separates two largest gulfs of Lake Baikal. This sandy beach of more than 20 km long is the longest one of the lake. Ascent to the peak. Lunch (picnic). Return to Ust-Barguzin in the evening, overnnight at homestay, opportunity to take banya.
