This magnificent cruise in the middle of Lake Baikal will make you discover its largest islands: Olkhon Island and the Ushkany archipelago. By offroadster, by boat or on foot we will explore the most beautiful places of the summer Baikal, will visit the Chivyrkuyskiy Gulf and its thermal springs.

Observation of the Baikal nerpas (endemic fresh water seals) is an important point in the list of discoveries in this tour. We will see them very close to us landing one of the Ushkany islands.

Day 1
Early in the morning departure to the island. Lunch on the way in a Buryat restaurant. Stops in picturesque places on the way. We will also stop to blandish the local spirits, to ask their benevolence during the trip. At noon: arrival on Olkhon. Arrival in Khuzhir, the main village of the island. Accommodation in the homestead kept by a resident of the village, 200 metres away from the shore. In the afternoon: discovery of Burkhan rock. Walking around the village, visiting port.
Day 2 à 3
Boarding a boat. Cruising around the Ushkany and the Olkhon islands. Visit to Chivyrkuyskiy Gulf and Zmeynaya Bay with its thermal springs on the Baikal lakeside. Bathe in the springs. Overnight at anchor in the gulf. Return to Khuzhir in the evening of the 3rd day. Overnight in the homestead. Banya (Russian bath).

Day 4
Excursion by offroadster to Khoboy Cape, the northern point of the island. It will allow you to discover the northern part of Olkhon with its various landscapes. Walking in the surroundings of the cape. Lunch (picnic) in the open air. Return to Khuzhir by offroadster, on the way: visit to the small hamlet of Uzury, in the east of the island. The picturesque route passes through steppes, sandy beaches, taiga, abandoned villages. Banya in the evening. Overnight in the homestead in Khuzhir.
Day 5
Spare time in the morning. In the afternoon return to Irkutsk by sheduled bus. Arrival in Irkutsk at about 8 p.m. Transfer by car to the station, the airport or the hotel. End of the programme.
NB : the captain can change the course of the programme because of weather conditions to provide safety of travellers.
