Vulcanology Institute Museum

The museum belongs to the Vulcanology Institute. A special authorization is necessary to visit it. It was founded twenty years ago and contains unique collections of minerals, samples of lava coming from the many volcanoes in Kamchatka but also from the rest of the world: Japan, USA, New-Zealand, Iceland, Mexico and Italy. Extraordinary pictures and video of the last eruptions of the nearby volcanoes are also exhibited.
