Ukovskiy waterfall

The waterfall and surrounding basalts create beautiful, unique and picturesque landscape, which is famous all over Eastern Siberia since long. The water flow is not big, but the height reaches about 20 meters. Falling down water runs to the canyon with vertical walls, and in about 2 hundred meters the walls apart and move to different sides along Uda River. Stepped cascade of the waterfall continues with a small lake and goes further in a deep long canyon, blocked with huge boulders and rocks. The is some kind of nature paradox - deep rocky hollow which walls resembling fortress towers with loop holes suddenly appeared on the flat woody area with loam soil.
