Rock drawings of Sakhurta mountain
On woodless and sacred for local people mountain Sakhurta (Silicon mountain) there are ancient rock drawings and site. Rock drawing at Sakhurta mountain can be found at 4 places. The size of the drawings is from 10 to 50 cm. The central scene depicts hunting for roe deer, Manchurian deer and moose. The age of this most ancient group of rock drawings is 2500 years. One more group of drawings depicts conventional sign in shape of irregular hexagon with inside lines. The image of lamaistic ochir (symbol of thunder arrow) was probably made by lamas, who visited Olkhon island at the end of XVIII century.
