"Zimnyaya skazka" cave (Urungayskaya)
"Urungayskaya" cave was named after the spring in the valley of which it is located. However it is best characterized by the name "Zimnyaya skazka" which means "Winter fairytale", as 70% of it is covered with ice.
The cave is decorated with huge 4 meters high icicles which hang down from the ceiling, as well as funny-shaped ice mounds. The bottom of the cave is entirely covered in ice. The cave is 28 meters deep. Not far from the entrance the ceiling is covered with big (10cm in diameter) hexagonal ice crystals.
In the remote part of the cave there is no more ice. Calcite incrustations are spread there. There is one narroz way which is strewed with small graphite pieces. This passage ends with a lake. It is small but interesting with its shape which reminds of a heart.
