Philharmonic Theatre

The Philharmonic Theatre of Kurgan region was founded in 1943. The orchestra takes part in many festivals in the Ural and in Siberia and they tour a lot. The structure of the theatre also contains a section whose goal is to promote music to the young public. In October 2011, the theatre hosted its first festival named after one of the greatest composers of the 20th century: Dmitri Shostakovich.
