Bezymianny Volcano

Bezymianny is located in the central part of Klyuchevskoy Volcano group in the eastern range. It belongs to Klyuchevskoy Volcano Nature Park included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. This stratovolcano reaches a height of 2,882 meters. Because of its almost constant activity it was placed on orange alert by air security. It is one of the three volcanoes in Kamchatka (with Taunshits and Shiveluch) that can go through “plinian” eruptions marked by a significant amount of volcanic ashes and volcanic rocks (pumice). It is located 40km from Klyuchi village and 350km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
