Kizimen Volcano
Kizimen is among the most actives volcanoes of the peninsula of Kamchatka. It is located on the territory of Kronotsky National Biosphere Reserve included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. Its constant activity in 2011 had it placed on the orange level alert of the air security.
This 2,485 meters high stratovolcano belongs to Kizimen-Gamchen volcanic group made up of five volcanoes. It is located in the eastern range, on the southern part of Tumrok range, 115km from the village of Milkovo and 265km from Petropavlosvk-Kamchatsky.
