Nachikinskoye Lake
Nachikinskoye Lake created from a glacier and covering 7.28 square meters, is the largest high mountain lake in Kamchatka. Its name comes from Nachinsky village located 7km away. The river that springs from the lake was called the same name until it became Plotinkova River.
The many rivers and streams that spring out of Nachikinskoye Lake make it an importance spawning place for salmons. Here can be found sockeye, coho and pink salmons. The abundance of fish attracts many brown bears. It is also quite common to meet foxes. Nachkinskoye attracts many tourists.
