Verblyud Mountain
Verblyud Mountain has two summits, hence its name “Verblyud” which means camel. It reaches a height of 1,150 meters. This mountain, located only 40km away from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is part of Nalychevo Nature Park included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.
It is stuck between volcanoes Avachinsky and Koriaksky. It is possible that this extrusive dome appeared after a violent eruption of either one of these volcanoes.
Verblyud Mountain is among the most famous in Kamchatka. Its proximity to the capital of the Peninsula makes it a very attractive place and many excursions are carried out on the mountain. The relatively easy climb up the mountain is often used as training for those who want to attempt that of the volcanoes.
