Vladimir 850 Year Anniversary Monument

The Monument to Vladimir 850 Year Anniversary was unveiled on October 30, 1960. The 22 metres high(72 feet) monument represents a topped triangular pyramid of white stone on marble base. On its sides there are three 3-metre high bronze figures - an Old Russian warrior looking in the direction of the Golden Gates, an architect facing the historic landmarks of the 12th century, and a modern worker looking at an industrial area of Vladimir city. The reliefs encraved above the figures depict the brightest pages of the city's history.
