Sarannaya Bay

Sarannaya Bay is located in the north east of Bering Island. It stretches for 14.2 km. The bay hosts the mouth a small river that flows into Saranoye Lake. In spawning period, before dawn, several salmon species wait in the bay for the climate to be better so as to swim up the river and into the lake. The northern part of the bay is populated with marine mammals.
