Zhivopisny Bridge (Picturesque Bridge)
Zhivopisny Bridge (Picturesque Bridge) is a cable-stayed bridge unveiled in late 2007 in Moscow. Consisting of two levels, it is both a highway (Marshall Zhukov Avenue) a railway for the metro.
This 1.5km long bridge is an engineering exploit: it doesn’t cross the river but runs along it. Besides it is surmounted by a central arc that is 409.5 meters long, 105 meters high and linked by 72 cables.
A huge ellipsoidal panoramic structure was created at the top of the red arc. It is possible to reach it thanks to a lift and to enjoy a beautiful view on Moscow.
