Filevsky Park (Fili Park)
Filevsky Park, a nature reserve until 1964, is a vast forested estate located in the western section of Moscow. With over 700 acres, the park follows the Moskva River for 5 km.
Almost entirely covered with woods and forest, is it made of various tree species. Some of the trees are over a hundred-year-old. The park also offers shelter for many mammals and birds.
In 1947, the “Filevsky Park of Culture and Leisure” was created on the western part of the park. It includes many areas specifically for children as well as an equestrian centre and course. It also offers the opportunity to take part in many activities according to seasons: cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, ice skating, rollerblading, cycling, etc.
