Museum of Architecture Alexey Shchusev
Founded in 1934, the museum was named in honor of famous Russian architect Alexey Viktorovich Shchusev (1873-1949).
Over a million items tell the story of Moscow’s architecture. Among the most outstanding one can see a fresco from the 17th century as well as 19th century furniture. The museum also keeps drawings, plans, carvings, lithographies and many other architectural materials.
Many events are organized in the museum but it is also a research center for the study and promotion of urban architectural heritage.
