Tour Overview

This trip allows you to discover Lake Baikal and the capital of East Siberia, the city of Irkutsk, in summer as well as in winter. On the way between Listvyanka and Irkutsk you will discover the museum of traditional Russian architecture. After a walk in the surroundings of Listvyanka, you will spend the night in inn on lakeside.

Tour programme
  • Day 1
    Morning leave for Listvyanka by car. Discovery of Lake Baikal watching Shaman Rock emerging from the mouth of the Angara. Visit to the Baikal museum and its aquarium with fish and seals of the lake. Ascending Chersky Rock by ropeway or on foot - at will (30 min. approximately), wonderful panorama of the lake and the Angara River. Accommodation in inn. Lunch in the restaurant overlooking Lake Baikal. Visiting the market with its typical saleswomen of omul. Opportunity to taste smoked omul, endemic fish of the lake. Inn overnight.
  • Day 2
    After the breakfast, departure to Taltsy - museum of traditional architecture in the open air. Return to Irkutsk. Lunch at restaurant. A tour of the city: historical centre, churches, old streets and wooden houses, the Decembrists museum. End of the programme.
