State museum of the Defense and Siege of Leningrad

This museum, created at the end of World War II, is hosted in the former building of the craft industry museum. It tells the story of the siege of Leningrad from September 1941 to January 1944. The twenty thousand items exhibited honor the memory of the many soldiers and civilians who went through this dark time of Soviet history. One can see among other things object of everyday life, weapons, propaganda posters, archive documents and some art items.
