Sergei Kirov Museum
This museum is one of the eight branches of the History museum of Saint Petersburg. It is dedicated to Sergei Kirvo, early revolutionary and close friend of Josef Stalin. Elected Secretary of the central committee of the communist party in 1934, he was murdered that same year at age 48.
The museum is located in a building that used to be exclusively dedicated to the USSR's nomenklatura. Sergei Kirov lived in the apartment number 20 from 1926 until his death. Displayed on two floors the exhibition shows the life and death of the politician. Visiting the museum is also an opportunity to see the conditions in which the leader of the soviet regime were housed.
