Museum Submarine D-2 ”Narodovoliets”

This museum has for special feature that it allows visitors to enter a real soviet submarine: the ”Narodovoliets”. This submarine D-2, put in order in 1931 served in the Baltic fleet. During World War II, it unleashed twelve torpedo attacks. It is known for sinking the German freighter ”Jacobus Fritzen” in 1942. Disarmed in 1956, the ”Narodovoliets” became a museum in 1993. Vladimir Putin was present for its unveiling.
