Planetarium

Located in Alexander Park, the Planetarium of Saint Petersburg was created in 1959. It is hosted in a part of the House of the People of Nicolas II built in 1900. Under its dome, the ”Star room” with a capacity of 500 people, offers a view of the sky. It can also reproduce solar and moon eclipses as well as the planets movements. The planetarium offers many other ludic and scientific attractions. The public has the possibility to live earthquake and volcanic eruption simulations as well go on a trip in space in a ship.
