Victory Monument

The Victory Monument is a stone obelisk 141,8 m (462 ft) high. It is located in the Victory Park in front of the Central museum of the Great Patriotic War. The height of the monument symbolizes 1418 days and nights of war time. At the foot of the obelisk there is a statue of Saint George slaying the dragon on a granite pedestal. At the top of the obelisk there is a bronze statue of Nike, Goddess of Victory, and figures of angels glorifying Russian arms.
