Chapel of Saint Stephen of Perm
The chapel is dedicated to Stephen of Perm, propagator of Christianity in the lands of the Komi (native people of the region). Stephen of Perm baptized numerous heathens of Perm in the XIVth century, created a special alphabet and translated all the principal ecclesiastical scriptures into the heathens' language. For all these deeds he was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church. He created the Perm diocese and became its first bishop. The chapel, built in his honor, was considerably reconstructed in the previous century. The only part that has remained intact is the dome and the decorations of the main entrance and the edge of the roof.
