Drama Theatre-Studio after L. Ermolaeva
The history of the Omsk Drama Theatre-Studio after Lyubov Ermolaeva is a story of a life. The destiny of the theatre is inseparably connected with the destiny of its founder and creative director Lyubov Iosifovna Ermolaeva. She realized her dream which was to create a troupe that could solve the most difficult creative tasks. In 1966 Lyubov Ermolaeva opened her amateur theatre in the Oil Industrialist Culture Palace. The first performance was 'I love', based on the verses of contemporary poets. Lyubov Ermolaeva managed to gather talented youth and create a unique atmosphere of collective creative work. In 1991 the theatre acquired the status of professional municipal theatre and the name of its founder - 'Studio' after Lyubov Ermolaeva. The theatre never stops looking for new bright stage forms to touch spectators' feelings and evoke willing to get into the core of complicated moral matters.
