Trinity Cathedral
The Trinity Cathedral of Petropavlovsk-Kamchtasky is the most eastern orthodox cathedral of Russia. In Soviet times most religious temples of the Peninsula were destroyed. The construction of this cathedral started in June 2000 and was initiated by the city’s archbishop Ignaty. The funds came from worshippers, patrons and sponsors. The highest part of the building reaches 41 meters. Concerts of sacred and classical music are organized on the ground floor of the cathedral.
