Museum of Fine Arts
The museum of Fine Arts has a large collection of Russian paintings from the 18th to the 20th century. It is located in the 19th century house that used to host the Assembly of Nobility.
The exhibition of the museum contains works from renowned Russian painters from the 18th to the 20th century: Antropov, Rokotov, Levitsky, Borovikovsky, Brullov, Ayvazovsky, Repin, Tropinin, Shishkin, Korovnikov, Rerikh, Serov, Kustodiev, Petrov-Vodkin as well as sculptures, graphic and decorative art. What is special about this museum is that it shows works from all the main styles of Russian art: from the ”Rossika” to modernism.
