The collection of the ethnographic museum is considered as one of the largest in Siberia and includes over 120,000 items. However the main part of the collection stays in the storerooms. In the 12 halls of the museum are organized thematic exhibitions: ”Mr Astachev's place”, ”Rites of the peoples of Siberia”, ”Khantys and Mansis Myths”, ”Modern style in Tomsk's art” and many others.

The archeology section contains objects of the material and spiritual culture of the peoples who inhabited the territory from the 17th century BC to the 17th century of our era.
