Puskin Drama Theatre
The Drama Theatre in Yakutsk was founded in 1920 after the members of the Poetry and Literature Enthusiasts Circle performed a play from Gorky's work “The Lower Depths”. In 1998 the theatre received the status of Academic Theatre and since 2000 it has been named after Pushkin. The company of the theatre often goes on tour. Since 1992 the theatre welcomes a branch of the studio-school of MKAT (Moscow's theatre).
