Goryachinskiy spring

Goryachinskiy spring occupies and area of 0.01 km2. In 1984 it was declared as protected territory and a natural sight. The thermal water outcome is 1 km away from Baikal Lake at the top of little sandy ravine, which is washed out by hot water. In the beginning of 1960s "Geominvod" expedition made detailed explorations and at the area of 75х350 m 20 boreholes were drilled. Resort waters are characterized as alkaline sulphate-sodium content with mineralization of 0.5-0.65 g/l. At the base of silicon thermal waters of Goryachinskiy spring there is one of the oldest resorts of Eastern Siberia - Goryachinsk. The spring has curative, recreational and scientific value.
