Cherskiy rock

Cherskiy rock is an observation platform on the mountain in Listvyanka village. It was named after famous explorer of Baikal, geologist Ivan Dmitrievich Cherskiy. Higher in the valley behind Baikal museum, not far from "Baikal-hotel" gates there is a serpentine road 2,200 meters long, which rises to the top (755 meters high). Also one may get to the top by a chair lift. There is a pergola with an observation platform, from which one may enjoy a magnificent view to Angara river source with Shaman rock, Port Baikal and Listvyanka.
