Baikal astrophysical observatory

Big solar telescope is located at the top of the hill behind Listvyanka. It is the only telescope of chromospheric type which is intended for sun flash registration and observing the large-scale structure of solar activity at Baikal Lake. There one may see solar disc with solar prominence at day-time. From the top of the hill near the telescope there is a fantastic panoramic view to Baikal and Angara river source.
