Lighthouse

The lighthouse is located at the top of Baranchik cape in Port Baikal village. The Circum Baikal railway starts from this place. The lighthouse has been standing there since the beginning of the 20th century. Its image appears more and more often on pages of photo albums about Baikal. From this place there is a magnificent panoramic view of southern Baikal shore and of the main port of shipping fleet - Port Baikal. Angara river source separates the mass of Tolstiy (fat) cape to the right side, and Listvyanka village with the white buildings of the Limnological institute and "Baikal" sanatorium to the left side.
