Sacred mountain Tan-Khan

Tan-Khan mountain is the highest point of Tageran massive. "Khan" means "master" in Turk and Buryat language. "Tan" means "Tatar". The whole name can be translated as "God of darkness". The height of the rock is 990 meters. There is a breathtaking view to Olkhon Island fro, the top of it. This mountain has a religious meaning and is considered sacred among Buryat people.
