Museynaya Cave

Museynaya (museum cave) is a very beautiful cave with high chambers containing stalactites, that remains very beautiful although many tourists and speleologists visit it each year. The cave was discovered in 1964 and is located along Karakol River in the North West of the Altai mountains. The cave has two entrances: one is 2.5 meters wide and 0.5 meters high. It is made of 6 chambers with many stalactites, stalagmites and corallites. The lower part of the cave is an inclined rift filled with rocks and alluvium. The depths of the cave reaches 42 meters and it is 890 meters long.
