Altaiskaya Cave ranks as the most important cave in Altai and the sixth longest in Siberia: 4,175 meters. Its depth reaches 240 meters. The path that leads to the cave comes from Kamlak village. The cave starts with a narrow vertical entrance clogged up with fallen rocks. After some narrow parts the corridor takes you to the “dining room” and to the “balcony”. During summer the cave fills with water. The cave is made up of many chambers including “Camel” with 3 to 5 meters high stalactites and stalagmites.
