Kaminnaya Cave

Kaminnaya Cave was called that way because of its chimney shape. Because of the humidity on the walls it looks like it is made of silver. The cave consists of two chambers with very low ceilings. Most of the remains found date back to the Stone Age and Afanasevskaya neolithic culture, but some items are from the Iron age. In the cave a funerary construction was found with a 23-25 year-old pregnant woman buried in it. The researchers put a lot of interest in the decorations of the buried tomb. The burial dates back to neolithic time. This kind of tomb is very rare hence the importance of each discovery.
