Sagan-Zaba Cape

Sagan-Zaba Rock is one of the most beautiful places of the western shore of Lake Baikal. This rock is well outlined against the rest of shore because it is composed of light-coloured limestone rocks. It is internationally renowned thanks to ancient rock carvings (petroglyphs) on one of its walls. These rock carvings were made in different times, some date back to the Bronze – late Iron Ages (II century B.C. - I century A.C.) so that the most ancient petroglyph is about 4000 years old.
