Petropavlovskaya Chapel

Petropavlovsk Chapel is on the main touristic sight and symbol of Lipetsk. The chapel was founded in 1872 in honor of the 200th anniversary of Peter the Great to replace the church of the Nativity that had burned down. The story says that the emperor had taken part in the construction of that church. In Soviet times the Chapel was destroyed. It was rebuilt in 2001 thanks to the regional budget.
