Regional Museum
The Regional Museum of Penza created in 1905, acquaints visitors to the history of the city and the region, the special features of its historic and cultural development.
The museum is made up of 7 halls on 1,100 sq-m. Thanks to the exhibitions visitors discover the archaeology and ethnography of the region, of its nature and the lifestyle of its inhabitants. Each year over a hundred thousand people visit the museum.
Many events are organized there, many matching the national and orthodox celebrations: Christmas, Mardi Gras (Shrove Tuesday), Pentecost, etc.
