Regional Museum

The Regional Museum of Rostov was founded in 1937. It introduces to the visitors the history, the ethnography, the culture and the nature of the region. One of its permanent exhibitions is dedicated to the “Treasure of Kurgans of Don” which contains 2,000 items made of gold and silver and dating back to the 4th century BC until the 8th century of our common era. The museum is located in a building from the 20th century considered as a federal monument.
