Monument to Peter the Great

It is no surprise to find a monument dedicated to Peter the Great in Petrozavodsk, since he was the founder of the city. This 2-meters high bronze statue of the Emperor stands on a grey granite pedestal. Initially the monument created by sculptor Shredere and architect Moniguetti had been erected on the Round Square in 1873. After being moved to various places, it was finally settled in its current location.
