Koriaksky Volcano

Koriaksky is one of the 29 active volcanoes of Kamchatka and is located in the eastern range. It is on the territory of Nalychevo Nature Park included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. With volcanoes Aag and Avachinsky they make the “Three Volcanoes” Zoological Reserve. This 3,456 meters high stratovolcano belongs to the Anchinsky-Koriaksky Volcanic group. Its last eruption took place in 2009. Koriaksky and Avanchinsky are located to the north-east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Yelizovo (25-30 km). You can easily observe them from the latter city.
